The eastbound lanes of Loop 202 near Dobson Road were expected to remain closed through 12 p.m. Friday, Garcia said.

"The reason for this vehicle traveling off to the right is undetermined," Garcia said. "We do have witnesses on scene, and we're combing through all of that evidence, all of these things we need to investigate so that we can reconstruct this later."

It was about 9:30am when a semi-truck driving on Loop 202 of the San Tan Freeway struck a concrete foundation that was to the right of the road. The collision caused the entire truck to catch fire, and as the driver couldn't escape, they were killed. We will add more information to this accident as it becomes available.
