A Scottsdale police motorcycle officer was injured in a single vehicle crash Tuesday morning on southbound Loop 101 near Raintree Road, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

A Scottsdale motorcycle officer was hospitalized after he crashed on southbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway at the Frank Lloyd Wright exit Tuesday morning, said Officer David Pubins of the Scottsdale Police Department.

The crash closed southbound lanes and the northbound HOV and left lanes of Loop 101, according to an Arizona Department of Transportation spokesman.

The lanes were expected to reopen by 1:30 p.m.

Police said the officer's injuries were not life threatening.
