DPS says the officer was alert at the scene and taken to a Scottsdale hospital. The driver of the vehicle is a 19-year-old male who is currently under investigation for DUI.
Authorities say a Department of Public Safety officer is in the hospital after his motorcycle was hit by a driver under investigation for DUI. DPS says the officer was northbound on Miller Road at the intersection of Murray Lane in Scottsdale when a southbound vehicle failed to yield during a left turn. The car hit the officer, throwing him from the motorcycle. The suspect vehicle then crashed into a westbound vehicle near the intersection. DPS says the officer was alert at the scene and sent to a Scottsdale hospital. The driver of the vehicle is a 19-year-old male who is currently under investigation for DUI.
