Enriquez did not say whether authorities suspect speed or impairment played a role in the accident as the investigation is ongoing.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office: 2 killed in ATV collision

The Sheriff's Office says witnesses reported seeing unidentified people loaded Chavez's ATV into a truck and departed after the collision.
Jesus Chavez, 23, was driving an ATV in the Hassayampa River bottom near 399th Avenue and Indian School Road when he collided with Dana Coerver, 47, who was driving an ATV eastbound. The men, both of Glendale, were pronounced both men dead at the scene. This area of the Hassayampa River is often used for off-road drag racing.
