A Gurdon woman was killed and her husband was injured on Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle accident on Arkansas 182 near Gurdon.
Jeffery Lavon Ellis and his wife Sheila Kay Ellis were riding in a car on Arkanas 182 when for unkown reasons the car left the roadway and went into a ditch. The car travelled 216 feet before striking a culvert and stopping. Sheila Kay Ellis was killed in the collision. Jeffery Lavon Ellis was taken to Baptist Medical Center in LIttle Rock for treatment of his injuries.
