Batesville residents injured in deadly crash

According to the Arkansas State Police crash report, the roads were wet at the time of the wreck.
A fatal collision in Cross County Saturday morning resulted in the death of Keene Sykes, 24, of West Memphis, who was heading east on Highway 64 near Wynne when he lost control of his car, crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a vehicle driven by Kay Bennett, 20, of Batesville. Sykes was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Bennett and her passenger, Ken Fryman, 41, of Batesville were both injured and were transported to area hospitals.
