Woman, 39, killed in hit-and-run in South Los Angeles

Family and friends told KABC-TV that Arnold was the mother of two children.
Police are searching for a driver who fatally struck a 39-year-old woman early Sunday in South Los Angeles and then left the crash scene. Treva Arnold was a pedestrian on Slauson Avenue near Denker Avenue about 2:30 a.m. when an eastbound vehicle hit her. Arnold was pronounced deceased at the crash site.  Witnesses told athorities that the driver was in a tan- or silver-colored compact car. The car probably has front-end and windshield damage. Police ask anyone with information on the collision to contact them.
