Police: Driver may have been on drugs in deadly Las Lomas crash

Officers said a 21-year-old man was driving north, heading into Watsonville. They believe when he got to a bridge, he veered off the road and the car flipped, rolling down an embankment.

Rafael Rangel of Las Lomas, California, was sentenced to four years and four months on Thursday after his car crashed into a bridge railing and plummeted 32 feet down an embankment, killing 18-year-old Daynzu del Carmen Rico Becerra.
