Multi-vehicle crash in Westminster leaves 1 dead
Felipe Nunez was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The crash was on the eastbound 22 Freeway, east of Beach Boulevard, at about 2:40 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
A 28-year-old man was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer entered the freeway from Beach Boulevard and lost control of his SUV, spinning out of control from the number five lane in a northerly direction into traffic lanes.
The Ford Explorer hit Nunez’s 2006 Toyota Corolla, which caused the car to slam into a 1997 Nissan Quest.
