Boy Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Modesto; Man Arrested, DUI Suspected

The driver of the Dodge, a 31-year-old Modesto resident, took off but was later found at his home. He was first taken to the hospital before he was booked at Stanislaus County Jail.

The man, Traves Krause, fled the scene after the crash. He was contacted at his home by CHP and was taken to Doctors Medical Center with moderate injuries, the CHP said. After being treated, Krause was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail.  

North Valley school rallying around family of 11-year-old boy killed in hit-and-run crash

The students and faculty are now rallying together to help raise money for the family by fundraising both online and on campus. The kids plan to sell snacks and T-shirts remembering Rangel and his love for the game of soccer.
