Motorcyclist flown to hospital after crash

A motorcyclist was flown to the hospital after colliding with a county wastewater truck southeast of Alpine Thursday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
A motorcyclist was traveling on Japatul Road near Abrams Ridge Road in the Cleveland National Forest when the bike collided with a county wastewater truck. The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries. Both sides of the roadway were closed for several hours after the crash.

Motorcyclist name was a Shay whitman. She passed away during life flight. She was 38 years old and a bartender at Cheswicks West in Ocean Beach California.

Shay was my neighbor. .she seemed like a free spirit that rode her metal wings proudly. It's sad to see the good always die young. she seemed strong,proud,adventurous,and free spirited. ..the very sad news hit me today when I saw her mother moving her things. ..Very very sad day ..R.I.P Shay
