Van passenger who died in I-15 crash ID'd
Jose Maria Garrido Capistran, 37, was the front passenger in the van and wasn’t wearing a seat belt, California Highway Patrol Officer Jake Sanchez said Wednesday.
One person was killed and one was injured in a car crash on north Interstate 15 near West Bernardo Road Saturday morning. A van and a pickup collided about 9:55 a.m. and veered onto the right shoulder of the freeway, with the rear ends of the vehicles partially up an embankment. One person was killed and the other was taken to a hospital.
