Officials released the name of a man who died when the car he was riding in collided with a tree after the driver fell asleep Sunday morning in Cupertino, authorities said. Saul Pacheco Reyes , 22, of Sunnyvale was killed when the car he was a passenger in struck a tree while going close to 80 mph. The car was being driven by a 21-year-old woman who told the California Highway Patrol that she fell asleep while traveling south on I-280 south of Wolfe Road at approximately 5 a.m. The driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both people were wearing seatbelts.
