Police say seven people were injured when a car crashed into a restaurant in a Northern California shopping center.

Seven people were injured after a car crashed into the front of a Mexican restaurant Thursday evening, Dublin police said.

The six people inside the restaurant who were hurt include a pregnant woman, and a man who was pinned underneath the car during the crash.

“All six injured parties were transported to local hospitals,” Lt. Nate Schmidt said. “Although several of the injured parties suffered serious injuries, none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the incident is also receiving medical attention as a result of the accident.”

A woman was pulling into the parking lot outside Taqueria Los Pericos mexican restaurant when she accidentally hit the gas and drove into the storefront. Six customers and the driver were injured and taken to local hospitals, but only two of the customers had serous injuries. Authorities believe driver error is the cause and not drugs or alcohol.
