Tri-athlete Adrianne Goodman, 30, injured when hit by a Honda Civic on Highway 1 and San Lucia Canyon Road in Buellton, California

Adrianne Goodman, a 30-year-old triathlete of San Francisco was riding her Trek bicycle at Highway 1 and San Lucia Canyon Road on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. when a Honda Civic driven by 22-year-old Matthew Orzech struck the rear of her bicycle. She sustained injuries on the neck, back, leg and shoulder, and was brought to Lompoc Valley Medical Center and then airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The driver of the car, whom police said was not drunk at the time of the collision, was uninjured.
