1 killed in 4-vehicle crash on I-70 Friday night

DENVER - A woman died after a four-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 70 at Brighton Boulevard Friday night around 11 p.m., according to police. The Denver Police Department said the woman lost control of her Hummer and hit another car as the Hummer crashed into a wall -- causing the other car and two more vehicles to crash. Police tweeted that one person is in critical condition after the crash and the other two have injuries that are not life-threatening. It is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol were factors. The interstate was shut down for about two hours while officers investigated the crash and reopened early Saturday morning.

essica Belcher, 38, was killed in the accident at I-70 and Washington Street, according to a media release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. Belcher was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where she was pronounced dead around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
