Family and friends are gathering to remember the Colorado Marine killed in a crash on his way home to surprise his little brother. He died in a rollover crash in central Utah on Aug. 15 while traveling from California to Fort Collins.

Twenty-year-old Lance Cpl. Brennan Ching of Fort Collins, Colorado, died Friday in a rollover crash near Salina, Utah. He was traveling with a fellow Marine from Las Flores, California. The second Marine survived and was taken to a hospital.

The funeral for Lance Cpl. Brennan Ching will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Evangelical Church in Fort Collins.
Ching was traveling home to surprise his little brother on the first day of school. The two shared "a special bond," said the boys' mother Sue Vicary, of Fort Collins. Ching taught his little brother how to tie his shoes, went fishing with him frequently and read to Alexander almost every night when he was home.
