1 killed, 3 injured in crash after vehicle bursts into flames
One person died and three people were sent to the hospital Friday morning after a car traveling about double the speed limit ran through a traffic light at the intersection of West 6th Avenue and West Colfax Avenue and slammed into another vehicle which caught fire, according to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP).

The two people in the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu were 18-year-old Guillermo Ramirez and 24-year-old Brisia Leon, according to the Golden Police Department (GPD).

The three people in the Suburban — 71, 50, and 32 years old, and all related — were able to escape from the vehicle, but were burned in the process. A Golden officer used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames on two of them. They are all still in the hospital as of Wednesday morning.
