CSU alumna dead, CSU student to face charges in crash

FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN - A recent Colorado State University alumna is dead and four other young women from Fort Collins are injured after a Sunday afternoon two-vehicle crash in Laporte. Charges are pending for 25-year-old Amy Clark of Fort Collins, a CSU graduate student and the driver of the 2008 Toyota Prius in which Walters was a passenger. Twenty-one-year-old Jozenn Walters, a passenger in one of the cars, died on the scene of the crash at U.S. Highway 287 and Larimer County Road 54G, Colorado State Patrol spokesman Trooper Nate Reid said. Clark was headed northwest on CR 54G about 5:15 p.m. and stopped at the stop sign where the road intersects with U.S. 287. The Xterra collided with the left rear side of the Prius, which rotated counter-clockwise and rolled halfway over, coming to a rest on its top in the highway's grassy median.
