“Sterling Emergency Communication Center received several calls of a tractor-trailer speeding and driving recklessly on West Main Street traveling east. Officers immediately responded to the West Main area and upon their arrival at 8:42 p.m., observed the vehicle had crashed into the old Aarons building located at 430 Main Street,” police said in a statement.
The driver, Travis Ayres, 32, of Nebraska, was hospitalized and listed in serious condition.
