Five people injured, some seriously, in car crash on Route 7 in Canaan, Connecticut

The crash occurred at about 9:14 p.m. at the intersection of Route 7 and Page Road. Klever Chavez, 22, of Danbury, was driving southbound of Route 7 while Eric Mcleod, 29, of Maine, was driving eastbound on Page Road, police said. Chavez said that Mcleod drove through the stop sign on Page Road, turned left onto Route 7 and collided with his vehicle, police said. Mcleod said he was making a left hand turn onto Route 7 and collided with Chavez's car, police said.
