William O’Leary, 55, Mark Morrow, 57, Courtney Haviland, 33, and William Shrauner, 31, killed in plane crash into building in Farmington, Connecticut

NBC affiliate WVIT reports that there was evidence of a mechanical failure during takeoff, according to police, and the plane hit the ground and then a Trumpf building on Hyde Road, in Farmington, Conn.

The Federal Aviation Administration reported that a Cessna Citation 560X business jet taking off from Robertson Airport in Plainville crashed into a building at the Trumpf Inc. manufacturing company in Farmington around 10 a.m.

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, who visited the scene to survey the damage, tweeted, “My prayers are with those on the ground and with the souls on board.”
