About two dozen children suffered "very minor injuries" when a school bus rear-ended a car near a construction zone on Interstate 384 westbound in Manchester, according to state police.
25 Children Hospitalized For Minor Injuries After School Bus Accident
The right lane of the highway was briefly closed as a result. The accident was reported to be cleared about 6:30 p.m., according to the DOT.
A school bus carrying 26 children and 2 adults from Bolton Elementary School was traveling on Interstate 384 on the way to East Hartford. When the school bus was passing through a construction zone, it allegedly rear-ended a passenger car. About two dozen children aboard the bus were taken to a local hospital for precautionary medical evaluations.
