Police say a 71-year-old woman who was struck by a sport-utility vehicle in Middletown has died.
Middletown police said Sunday that Susan Thorpe of Middletown died. The accident occurred Saturday at the intersection of Main Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Way. Thorpe was crossing Dr. Martin Luther King Way when the vehicle hit her as the driver was turning.
Police identified the driver as 76-year-old Leonard Palmer and said he was not injured.
