The incident was reported around 12:45 p.m. Metro-North officials tell News 8 that Amtrak train #93, a Northeast Regional train, killed a tresspasser just west of the Milford train station.

Milford police are on the scene investigating the accident and service is delayed in both directions. No delays are expected between Stamford and Grand Central Terminal, according to a Metro-North alert.

The woman was trespassing when she was hit by a passing train at about 12:21 p.m., according to Aaron Donovan, MTA deputy director for external communications.
Another killed by train in Milford
For the second time in five months, a local resident has apparently leaped to their death in the same place and in front of the same speeding Amtrak train.
A woman was reportedly killed after she apparently jumped in front of an Amtrak train in the Milford train station. All trains in both directions on the New Haven line are currently stopped while authorities investigate. More information will be released as it comes out.
