The infant delivered by emergency C-section after the child's mother was killed in a crash on I-95 earlier this week has died, according to a spokesperson for Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. Brown, who was nine months pregnant, was pronounced dead at Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. Tuesday when 26-year-old Alexandra Brown, of Niantic, hit a guardrail and was ejected from her vehicle after it rolled.
A Niantic woman who was nine months pregnant was killed and the baby is in critical condition after a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-95 in Stonington around 11 a.m. Tuesday. 26-year-old Alexandra Brown was ejected from her vehicle when it rolled multiple times after she collided with a guardrail on I-95 South. She was pronounced deceased at Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. The baby was delivered via emergency C-section and is in critical but stable condition at Woman’s and Infant’s Hospital in Rhode Island. Authorities say Brown was not wearing a seat belt.
