Nicholas M. Reardon, 72, dies in accident with wood chipper on South Anguilla Road in Stonington, Connecticut

STONINGTON, CT (WFSB) -A man was fatally injured on Thursday afternoon in what appears to be an accident involving a woodchipper in Pawcatuck section of Stonington. Emergency dispatch received a 911 call about a severe injury involving a woodchipper on private property off South Anguila Road around 3 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities located a man's body. Police said the unidentified man was "partially pulled into a wood chipper," police said. Neighbors told Eyewitness News that the machine was running all day long. Investigators do not have positive identity of the victim, a known commercial tree service technician. First responders said they are working on notifying the victim's family. "Upon arrival, we did discover the individual was deceased. We are investigating,” Stonington Police Capt. Todd Olson said.
