Driver, 91, Killed After Crashing Down Embankment

A 91-year-old Thomaston driver died in a one-car crash in Thomaston on Saturday. Police found driver Charles Brehio, 91, of Thomaston, in the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Upon investigating, police said Brehio was traveling southbound on Hill Road when he veered off the road, crashed through the guardrails and plunged down a steep embankment. Thomaston police responded to the crash on Hill Road (Route 222) at 11:20 a.m. Thomaston police are investigating the accident and cause of death and ask anyone with information to contact the department at 860-283-4343.
