Man Hit by Car While Running From Fight in Vernon: Cops

A man running from a dispute involving several other people was struck by a car in Vernon early Thursday morning. Police said the 31-year-old victim was running from an altercation that began inside an apartment on West Main Street in Vernon. The dispute spilled out onto the street, and someone slashed the tires of a vehicle parked outside. The victim, a Manchester resident, ran from the scene and was hit by a car around 3:10 a.m. on Orchard Street near the intersection of Union Street, according to police.
