Man Hit By Car in West Haven Sustained Life-Threatening Injuries

A 60-year-old man was hit by car in West Haven on Wednesday morning and the injuries he sustained could be life-threatening, according to police. When officers responded to Yale-New Haven Hospital, they learned the victim was going into surgery and the injuries could be life-threatening. Because of the severity of the man’s injuries, police contacted the West Haven Police Major Accident Squad. Crews immediately transported him to the Yale-New Haven Hospital Trauma Unit. The man was hit at Campbell Avenue and Alling Street just after 6:30 a.m. and he was unconscious when police arrived.
