She was transported to Stamford Hospital with severe injuries and later died, according to police. She has not been identified.

Forlenzo said Saturday’s fatal accident and her own incident reflect a hazardous situation near the school caused by a lack of crosswalks. Speeding also make crossing dangerous, even when pedestrians use the crosswalks properly, she said.
