A pick-up truck rear-ended a Metro bus Monday night and then sped away from the scene in Southeast Washington, where eight people reported injuries, Metro officials said. The Metro bus, on a number 32 route, had stopped at a bus stop near the intersection of Pennsylvania and Minnesota avenues SE. It was there that a pick-up truck struck the rear of the bus about 8:15 p.m. said a Metro spokesman. Eight passengers complained of injuries, though none were visible or life threatening. Those passengers were taken hospitals, Stessel said. The truck then left the scene, he said. The bus sustained no damage.
