5-year-old girl dies following North Fort Myers crash
The little girl rode her scooter onto Castleview Drive when she was hit by an SUV, according to officials.
The child was rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital in serious condition before being transported to Tampa General Hospital. She died from her injuries on Sunday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 91-year-old man was traveling north on Castelview Dr. in an SUV. The 5-year-old girl was standing with her scooter on the left side of the intersection. Then, FHP says, the little girl on the scooter darted into the roadway attempting to cross the road. The left front side of the SUV hit the little girl.
