Driver seriously hurt in Lehigh Acres crash

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- One man is recovering in critical condition at Lee Memorial after a serious crash in Lehigh Acres Wednesday night. The crash happening at the intersection of Leeland Heights Boulevard West and Illinois Road around 7:30pm. Florida Highway Patrol says a driver made a left turn in front of oncoming traffic, crashing into a car who had the right of way. The driver of the car that got hit is now in critical condition after the crash forced him into a traffic sign and mailbox. The other driver who caused the accident is facing several charges, including leaving the scene of a crash.
