Florida Highway Patrol says Rene Miles, 40, from Naples, hit a Dodge Durango in front of him, causing that truck to travel into oncoming traffic. The Durango collided with a Honda Odyssey coming from the west, causing the Odyssey to flip. The driver of the Honda, James Riner II, 33, of Naples, was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Man convicted in fatal drunken driving crash

The Naples Daily News reports that 42-year-old Rene Miles was found guilty Tuesday of DUI manslaughter and DUI causing serious bodily injury. He faces up to 22 years in prison at his Aug. 14 sentencing.
