Driver killed in head on collision
The Florida highway patrol says one person was killed in an offset head-on collision Saturday morning. FHP say a driver of a Chevrolet Impala was driving westbound in the eastbound lane of State Road 20 around 2:15 a.m. Saturday. FHP says that driver's name will be released pending further investigation. Alcohol test are pending in this accident.

Police say that the as-yet unamed driver's left front hit the left front of an Oldsmobile Alero being driven by William Sanders, 32 of Hawthorne, who was pronounced dead on the scene. His passenger, Tami Thompson, 24, was taken to UF Health Gainesville in serious condition.
