Calvin Leroy Wesley, 43, killed in motorcycle crash on May 10 on Chase Street in Hastings.

St. Johns County Traffic Homicide Investigators are investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred Saturday evening in Hastings.

Deputies went out to 200 Chase Street in Hastings shortly before 9:00 p.m. Saturday after getting a call about a crash.
The investigation has revealed that a motorcycle, driven by 43 year-old Calvin Leroy Wesley of Hastings was traveling eastbound
on Chase Street when he struck a mini-van driven by 85 year-old Martha Garris of Hastings.

Investigators tell us Wesley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. St. Johns County Fire Rescue came out but Wesley died at the scene. Garris was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, but investigators say speed and alcohol may be factors in the crash.
