JSO: Carjacking ends in Springfield

Police said 11th Street was closed through the early afternoon while the incident was investigated and cleared. An SUV taken at gunpoint early Sunday morning was intentionally crashed by police after a short pursuit on 11th Street late Monday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff'€™s Office. Brian Richardson said the car was taken from a victim at 1:13 a.m. Richardson said there were no injures and the three people inside the car were detained and being interviewed. Sunday on Norde Drive, on Jacksonville'€™s Westside was spotted on Mars Street, several blocks north of UF Health Jacksonville, and was stopped using a PIT maneuver several blocks away.
