Authorities are questioning several people to determine who was driving a car that struck and killed a 3-year-old San Mateo boy. Morgan Wallace Calaway died Tuesday night after he somehow escaped from a family member's home and wandered into the street. Florida Highway Patrol officials said he was struck by a white Honda. Authorities found the car a few miles away after the accident. Several people are being interviewed, but no one has been arrested. The Florida Department of Children and Families is also investigating to determine how the child was able to leave the home and whether neglect was involved. The boy was with other family members, not with his parents, before the accident.
