The crash happened just before 1:00 Tuesday morning on U.S. 301 just north of Market Rd, near S.R. 16. 
A fatal crash in Starke has closed the southbound lanes of U. S. 301. Thomas Albert Baugess, 25, of Starke was walking in the right, southbound lane when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Eric David, 38, of Bennettsville, South Carolina.
