Broward Sheriff's Office officials said deputies found one person dead at the scene, but did not release the victim's identity or the circumstances surrounding the crash.

According to investigators, a 2020 Kia Forte was traveling southbound on South Federal Highway in the left thru lane approaching the 400 block. At the same time, the victim, identified as Doris Sandman, was on foot, crossing the roadway in an undesignated crosswalk area in an unknown direction.
