Two people are dead and another is in the hospital after a car hit them as they were pushing a disabled car along a South Florida road. The crash happened around 1 a.m. in Miramar. Police say five people were pushing the stalled BMW along Pembroke Road when another car crashed into them. The names of the dead and injured were not immediately available.

A teen couple who had only recently graduated from high school were hit and killed while pushing a stalled BMW down Pembroke Road overnight, Miramar Police confirm. According to police, five people were pushing the broken down BMW on Pembroke Road just east of the Dykes Road intersection around 1 a.m. That car, according to a family member at the scene, was a graduation gift for one of the deceased teens. The teen couple, who were closest to the median, died on scene. It is not yet known if the driver will face any charges related to the crash.

MIRAMAR A young couple fatally struck by an SUV while helping to push a friend's disabled car will be buried together Saturday, their families said. The two had helped push the car to a dark stretch at the eastern end of the road when the crash happened, Miramar police said. Gabrielle Camps, of Miami, and Jonah Mosaphir, of Miramar, were 19. Detectives are investigating the crash; the driver of the SUV has not been charged, a police spokeswoman said Thursday.
