Teen from San Antonio killed in Florida crash

"My grandson loved people. He met no strangers," says Bobby Watkins, Jaques' grandfather.  "He was a good kid. He loved basketball. He loved football. He likes to play golf. As a matter of fact he told us he was probably going to try out for the Pine Forest golf team. I said well you'd be the first 6'5' golfer they've ever had," said Watkins.

Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said grief counselors are be on hand today, to help students and teachers work through this difficult time.
A Pine Forest High School student was killed around noon Wednesday in an accident in Escambia County. Jaques Hill, 17, was in a car with three friends when they were struck by an SUV at the intersection of Highway 29 and Kenmore Road. There were five people injured in the crash, and four teens were transported to local hospitals, where Hill was pronounced dead. Hill had recently moved to Pensacola from San Antonio, Texas.
