Troopers said 30-year-old Noel Alvardo was driving north in the southbound lanes of State Road 417 for unknown reasons. Alvardo collided with 57-year-old David Briones head-on.
Driver in fatal SR 417 crash had .214 BAC level, troopers say
Alvardo had a blood alcohol level of .214, according to the FHP report released on Wednesday.
Both of the drivers were killed in the head-on crash. It is still unknown why Alvardo was going the wrong way on SR 417.
