According to the report, Sevigny was heading north on North Halifax at 9 p.m. At that moment, Roberts was walking across Halifax from west to east. Sevigny felt he had struck something with his 2013 Dodge truck. The teen got out of the vehicle, but could not find anything on the roadway.
Robbie Roberts, 49, of Daytona Beach, was lying across one of the travel lanes at 834 N. Halifax Ave. and was spotted by a passerby, a Daytona Beach police accident report shows. Stephen Andrew Sevigny of Ormond Beach and his father appeared at the scene. Sevigny had gone back to his residence to tell his father that he thought he had struck an object, the report shows. Father and son drove back to the accident site and discovered that Sevigny had possibly struck Roberts.
