A stretch of Interstate 95 in Flagler County reopened Tuesday evening after being closed for more than 13 hours when a driver was killed in a fiery crash that damaged the roadway, officials say. Florida Highway Patrol crews were called around 4 a.m. Tuesday to I-95 northbound near Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast in reference to a crash. Troopers said a big rig transporting fuel and a tractor-trailer collided. The truck carrying fuel exploded, killing the driver Christopher Mceuen, 41, of Jacksonville according to the FHP. The driver of the semi truck 33 year-old St. Claire Agenord of Winter Haven was not hurt. FHP troopers said the crash ignited a fire along the roadway and it had to be repaired before anyone could drive on it. Traffic along I-95 northbound was being rerouted to East Moody Boulevard, which is State Road 100. After 6 p.m. Tuesday, troopers said I-95 reopened to traffic.
