A car, also with two occupants – a man and woman – was traveling south on Gainesville Road.
Authorities said the truck crossed the center line and veered into the path of the car, and collided with it.

However, after reviewing the physical evidence, troopers now believe the driver of the Mercury was traveling north and the truck was heading south on Gainesville Road. They also believe the Mercury crossed into the southbound lane and struck the truck.
