Jeep hits bear, overturns on Interstate 4 in Sanford; 2 injured

Two men were injured early Wednesday when a Jeep struck a bear and overturned on Interstate 4 in Sanford, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The crash happened around 1:05 a.m. on I-4 eastbound. The FHP said the driver, Lloyd McFarland, 21, of Apopka, and the passenger, Cederick Richmond, 24, of Plymouth, were taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. Their conditions were not known. It's not known if the bear was seriously wounded.
