Woman killed in Holmes County crash
Williams' vehicle then entered the east shoulder and began to rotate, continuing until it rotated off the roadway, rolling several times before colliding with a power pole with its roof. Williams, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. Alabama Highway Patrol learned of a crash on County Road 179A and came to investigate, finding the vehicle involved to be the same that led troopers on the earlier chase. Both Williams and her passenger, Amber L. Kendrick, 23, of Geneva, were transported to Wiregrass Hospital in Alabama, where Kendrick was pronounced dead by hospital staff. Kendrick was wearing her seatbelt. Williams was treated and released and taken into custody by Alabama Highway Patrol for fleeing and eluding, as well as other charges not yet specified.
