It happened around 4:40 Saturday morning on U.S. Highway 98, just west of Lake Morality. 18-year-old Bruce Morton was driving west on U.S. 98, State Road 30, when he swerved abruptly to avoid hitting an animal. His vehicle crossed over the centerline into the eastbound lane. 53-year-old Robert Denmark was walking eastbound on the highway when the front middle bumper of Morton's truck hit him.
